Plan Your Visit

We’re glad you’re considering visiting Highview. Whether this is your first time at church or your first time in a while, our hope is that you feel welcomed, comfortable, and free to participate at your own pace.

We gather for worship every Sunday at 10:00am. You’re welcome to join us for other parts of the morning as well, but most first-time guests begin with the worship service.

FAQs:

What time is the service?

Our Sunday morning service starts at 10:00am and lasts just over an hour.  Our full Sunday morning schedule is:

8:30am | Prayer Gathering
9:00am | Adult Bible Study
10:00am | Worship
11:30am | Small Groups

You can join us for worship in person or watch via livestream on our YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsodo0oFK6lV3-tJjVY8xzQ/live

How early should I arrive?

Generally we recommend showing up about 5-10 minutes early to give yourself enough time to park, walk in, and get situated in your seat. One of our volunteers will be there to greet you and give you a bulletin on your way in!

What should I wear?

The clothes you’ll see at Highview on a Sunday are reflective of our community, representing a cross section of preferred lifestyles. You’ll likely see as many people in polos, khakis, t-shirts and jeans as you will in suits, ties and dresses. We encourage people to come as they are and dress in what feels most comfortable.

Is childcare available?

Infant-3 years:

During the service we offer nursery care for children ages three and younger. Parents who would like to use the nursery are welcome to check their child in before the service or at any point during the service.

PreK-4th grade:

Each week during worship, PreK-4th graders are invited to join Children’s Church for age appropriate teaching during the sermon. We are working our way through “The Biggest Story” curriculum to help our children see that the Bible is one unfolding story that points us to Jesus. Parents can drop off and pick up their children in the main classroom.

Children aged 5th grade and up are encouraged to worship with their parents or guardians.

Learn more about our Youth Group here.

All of our children and youth volunteers have an application process and a background check.

What denomination is this church?

As a member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC), we are part of a global movement of churches that share the characteristics of being evangelical, Presbyterian, Reformed, and missional.

We are led by a session of elders. Learn more about our church and our pastor and staff here.

Can I take communion?

We celebrate communion monthly, and all baptized believers who trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are welcome to partake. If you’re not sure, it’s perfectly okay to simply pass the elements. No one will single you out or make you feel awkward.

What if I don’t know anyone?

That’s okay, most people don’t on their first visit. If you’d like to meet someone, our greeters would love to help you find your way or introduce you, but there’s no pressure. We also invite you to stop by the welcome center to receive a free gift and learn more about our church.

I have questions about Christianity. Is there someone I can talk to?

You can email Pastor Stephen (stephen@highviewepc.org) or one of our elders (elders@highviewepc.org) and we would be happy to speak with you. You can also call the church office (262-392-5579) during the week and we can connect you with someone who can answer your questions.

Do I have to give money?

No. You are our guest, and there is absolutely no expectation for you to give. We’re just glad you’re here. If you decide this is a church you want to call home, giving is one way our members participate in the life and mission of the church, but that comes later, not on your first visit.
